Nord Motors and its affiliated companies form a group specialized in mechanical maintenance, supply, and installation of all types of engines, generator sets, and rotating machinery.
Our company
For over 30 years, Nord Motors has been supporting industrial companies by supplying, installing, and maintaining medium- to high-power diesel engines and rotating machinery. Our expertise also extends to subsystems such as hydraulic governors, fuel injection systems, heat exchangers, centrifuges, and more.
Based in the industrial heartland of northern France, Nord Motors operates through five branches across France and overseas territories, delivering its expertise worldwide.
Today, Nord Motors serves a wide range of industries, including energy (nuclear and thermal), the naval sector (both military and commercial), petrochemical industry, agri-food, paper manufacturing, and many more.

The company’s headquarter in the North of France
1992 – 2007Creation of Nord Motors
Nord Motors was founded in 1992 in Holque, in the north of France. It initially focused on on-site maintenance of thermal engines in the industrial and maritime sectors. The company quickly broadened its expertise to include rotating machines and expanded its operations across France and abroad.
Building on its experience and recognized for its expertise in machinery, Nord Motors became one of the main maintenance partners in the 2000s for several engine manufacturers, such as Wärtsilä, Sulzer, as well as for Burckhardt compressors or Dresser Rand compressors and turbines.
In 2007, the company continued its growth with the opening of its first workshop in northern France.

2012 – 20152012, a major turn
2012 was a major turning point in our company’s growth. Driven by the increasing demand for industrial maintenance in French overseas territories, Nord Motors decided to establish two new branches in Guadeloupe and French Guiana.
At the same time, to meet a steadily increasing demand, the company moved its headquarter to Eperlecques, where it built a modern 1800m2 workshop.
In 2015, Nord Motors expanded to the west of France, opening a branch initially dedicated to injection and control systems. This strategic location enabled the company to develop its activities, particularly in the maritime sector. The 4th Nord Motors agency and its workshop are located in Oudalle, in close proximity to Le Havre, France’s second-largest port.

2017 – 2020Meeting the challenges of the nuclear sector
From 2017, with a commitment to continuously improve collaboration with EDF, Nord Motors structured its operations to meet the challenges of the nuclear energy industry. The company obtained UTO-EDF certification and began servicing thermal power plants across France.
In 2018, Nord Motors became an official distributor of 3 major engine brands : Baudouin, John Deere, and Volvo Penta. Since then, its offering has expanded to include Alfa Laval equipment. Nord Motors also became an official distributor of compressors and turbines for Siemens.
Today, Nord Motors’ teams can support clients throughout the entire process of installation and commissioning, to preventive and corrective maintenance.
In 2020, Nord Motors further strengthened its portfolio by becoming a distributor of compressed-air power plants thanks to a partnership with Almig.

2021-2022More and more innovation
In 2021 Nord Motors continued its growth and long-term development strategy with the opening of a new branch in Corsica, and expanded its presence at its Guadeloupe location.
2022: Nord Motors launched an innovative service at its Eperlecques workshop : a state-of-the-art engine test bench. This custom-designed system was developed to meet the specific maintenance requirements of our clients and partners. Our test bench integrates advanced technologies to perform full testing, diagnostics, and running-in procedures, ensuring high-quality engine workover.

Nord Motors’ headquarter was extended and modernized in 2024
2023-2025Looking towards the future
Starting from early 2023, Nord Motors decided on a strategy to expand its offer in the marine engine sector, thanks to a premium partnership with DB Moteurs, a company based in the port of Dunkirk. As an authorized service center for Volvo Penta, Honda Marine, Yanmar Industrie, and ZF, DB Moteurs specializes in engine and transmission services, including installation, maintenance, inspection, and repairs, as well as part sales. The company provides services to both private and professional customers throughout a network of agencies covering the North of France from Caen to Strasbourg.
The continuous growth of Nord Motors’ workforce, driven by the constant expansion of its markets, led to the extension of its headquarters in Éperlecques, completed in 2024. Today, the Nord Motors Group has over 130 employees across its five branches and four subsidiaries: Nord Métal Services, DB Moteurs, and JLC.
